At my workplace, we play around with these little plywood octagons that fit together and make interesting patterns. However, every day I throw away big handfuls of them, because they break so easily.
I figured I could make some better pieces on the Glowforge lazer cutter. I've been playing with some other projects on the lazer cutter, and I've been getting more comfortable with both the Glowforge and with Inkscape.
I tried to match the shape and pattern as nearly the same, but of course the slots would have to be much wider to fit the thick pieces of acrylic together.

They ALMOST fit, but not quite! Back to the vectorized drawing board.
